Constant War equals unbroken peace

All the tree-huggers, myself included at one point, believe that “Nature” has a balance that is precious that we should not interfere with or damage but they fail to realize that this “balance” this “order” is an illusion, a fortunate side effect of every organism trying its hardest to take advantage of the system but being kept in check by every other. No lion says to itself, “oh you know I shouldn’t have so many cubs” or “I’ve eaten too many antelope this week, I need to hold back.” Hell no! Every lion tries to have as many antelope as it can catch to be full and tries to raise as many cubs as are born.

Why should we humans try to hold ourselves in check and continue to second guess ourselves at every turn just because we’re better at surviving than a lot of other creatures? I don’t mean that we should run amok and keep defecating where we eat so to speak as we’ve done in the past. What I mean is if an animal is going extinct definitely we can try to see if we can help if it isn’t out of our way but other than that, what’s the point? Lots of species have disappeared before and they will continue to do so with or without us even if we stopped every “bad” thing we do right now.

It’s like Tiger Woods playing a little worse so he can give the other competitors a try, it’s an insult. We have just as much right to completely take over this entire planet as any other creature because the fact is we are all fighting to do just that, its just we’re much better at it right now and we’re in the lead but that may not always be the case so we should take the head start. Eventually we will hit a brick wall in terms of technology or some other species and that will be “Nature’s balance” but until then…

On another level it should be said that there may someday be just one human (as in a clone) or just one type of human (my bet is some type of Caucasian). Think about it. All the genocides we have had as humans within our species are the same kind of conflicts that we have between species and as good as we are in getting rid of other species we’re just as efficient killers when it comes to ourselves. One day we may succeed or perhaps someone or something else might but one thing is certain genocides and conflicts will never be completely overcome. That is unless we learn to manage ourselves the way we’ve learnt to master everything else. But in the end that achievement would be the defeat of the individualism versus collectivism and be another step towards one type of human.

Actually given the fact that it was natural borders such as mountain ranges and oceans that allowed other species to differentiate and maintain that differentiation and that these and other borders really mean no more than a minor hindrance to us now and certainly even less in the future, leads one to the assumption that collectivism is a certainty given our survival past a certain point.

Our fate is to become better and better at communication, better and better at managing our lives and better and better at homogenizing. Some minorities will and are being assimilated and others are being sidelined until they may self-destruct or interestingly enough become the genesis of something we’ve never seen before.

I wanted to elaborate with respect to not defecating where we eat. Some of the checks and balances that Nature “uses” to control population are famine, conflict and disease. As we all know humanity is not immune from these factors of population control.
