Sometimes I hate Us

Good God!! Sometimes I reall hate people!! I have to include myself in this group as much as I don't want to because I'm sure I do it too but at the moment and from memory it seems like its usually other people who have this particular fault.

I'm talking about the lazy, devil may care, I doesn't affect me attitude that people have. I just called a company I paid for some work to find out when I could pick it up. The boss tells me they had a problem with the files I provided and enquired if no one had called me. No one had so I asked for the number they called to make sure it was the right one in spite of the fact that he had called me just the day before.

The number was correct but then the subordinate tells the boss that the phone just rang and rang. Since I had just received a call prior to calling the company I told the boss this, plus I didn't have any missed calls.

My point is my frustration with my understanding of what happened. What abject fool only calls a number once and then gives up!!! Considering that my project is time sensitive an probably costs more than his salary in a month why the heck is he so unconcerned!!

My problem isn't just with him though it's with the distinct lack of discipline and persistence that exists in the world!! My problem is that I hate "WORK" as defined by a long drawn out sequence of actions that I either have little to no experience with or a distaste for, but whether it's work or its not I DO IT!!!

Why is the world full of people who seem to need to be consistently tortured just to do the most basic of activities for which they are paid and why aren't they ever fired!

God!!
