This hour thing sucks. I could just be in a bad mood but it seems as ridiculous and as ineffective as a walk against crime. It is the real world equivalent to one of those inane email forwards about the little girl who blah blah blah, yackety smackety.

Okay the hour's over and it's two weeks later, what's changed? I know you're going to start off saying "you know Gerry you don't have to be so cynical." Why are you saying this? Because you know I'm right but you have to say something. So you say whatever comes into your head. Anything that allows you to move your lips and end the conversation with me being wrong but nothing that really makes any sense because nothing about Earth Hour or anything like it makes any sense.

Maybe they should have called it Earth Scum Hour 2009. The reason being that only a very thin film of life on the surface of the planet really has anything to worry about. When one thinks about it it's not even really a film to worry about just some patches here and there that keeps coming back like a chronic disease after something wipes it away.
